Q: Is it safe to eat take-out food?
A. According to the CDC and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, there has been no evidence of food or food packaging being associated with transmission of COVID-19. Like other viruses, it is possible that the virus that causes COVID-19 can survive on surfaces or objects. Kitchen Sync has undertaken every precaution to help ensure the health and safety of its customers, employees, and surrounding community is never compromised. This includes cleaning and sanitizing the entire restaurant and re-training all employees on safe food preparation and handling procedures and other newly implemented steps to minimize touch points with one another and customers.
Q. Why can’t I use cash, check or gift cards to pay for my pickup order?
A: Providing credit or debit card information over the phone allows for faster service and greatly reduces the risk of spreading germs and disease, including the coronavirus. Reducing every possible touchpoint is necessary to help prevent the possible spread of the virus.
Q. How will I know my credit card information is safe?
A: We take our customer’s health and safety very seriously, and this includes your personal information. Just as you are assured that your credit card information is never compromised when you hand it to a server inside our restaurant, we treat it every bit as confidential when you provide it to us over the phone.
Q. Why can’t I provide my credit card when I pick up my food?
A: Reducing every possible touchpoint helps prevent the virus from spreading.
Q. My calls keep going into voice mail. Can I leave my order and credit card info there?
A: No. Please continue to call back and a line will eventually free up.
Q. What menu items will be available?
A: We are offering our full menu line-up. Please review our MENUS and have your order ready before calling us.
Q. What hours will you provide drive-thru service?
A: We will follow our normal operating hours. Please visit the HOURS & LOCATION section of our website to see when we’re open.
Q. Why don’t you offer online ordering?
A: Please be patient as we are changing our entire business model. We are not excluding any future options, but for now our best option is telephone orders.
Q. How long should I wait to pick up my order?
A: We will provide an estimated time over the phone.
Q. Will there be enough available parking?
A: Since people will be parked for a few minutes only, there should be plenty of available on-site parking without the need to use overflow lots.
Q. How long will the pickup service be in effect?
A: Indefinitely until further notice.
Q. Why am I being charged a 20% gratuity for a pickup order?
A: Although always appreciated, gratuity is not typically required for takeout orders. However, considering the extraordinary circumstances and efforts of our employees — from kitchen staff to servers to order takers — to ensure all pickup orders are handled with an abundance of safety and speed, we are requiring a nominal gratuity of 20% per order.
