Kitchen Sync is founded on a core value of intergenerational responsibility and the belief that even a small neighborhood restaurant has a role to play in what we leave behind for our children. Adhering to this notion and guided by our mission “to co-create a world worth inheriting one bite at a time,” Kitchen Sync saves 2% of every sale to reinvest in our community. Since the day we opened in 2016, we have been quietly investing in our PIF (Pay It Forward) community investment fund. In 2019 we will be announcing our KiSS (Kitchen Sync Stewardship) initiative and several community projects that we are investing ourselves in.
In organic farming circles there is a wisdom of “feed the soil not the plant.” In giving back to the systems and communities upon which Kitchen Sync depends we aspire to simultaneously nourish the soils in which our business is rooted: socially, economically, and ecologically.
We are grateful to be part of the vibrant Greenville community and are committed serving in a manner befitting such a special place.
America’s #1 Independently-owned green certified restaurant
Kitchen Sync is firmly committed to environmental stewardship and conducting business in a manner ever-mindful of our impact on the earth systems on which we all depend. We are Greenville’s first and only Green Certified Restaurant, and in 2018 we earned top honors in the Green Restaurant Association’s annual awards competition as the #1 Independently-Owned Green Certified Restaurant in the United States and #1 for Water Conservation. Maintaining such high ratings is a testament to the diligence of our entire staff who go the extra mile to ensure Kitchen Sync leaves the smallest footprint possible on the environments that feed us.
